# Initial thoughts

The format is nice, the editor is clean and simple. The problem is I have zero control over any secondary design. While it’s a nice idea, this is designed to compete with Medium and Substack. That’s good, we need a better platform for blogging than Medium, it’s garbage. However, the level of control feels very limited. As a developer that irks me a bit, I don’t think I’ll be moving. Since my goal isn’t to reach a huge audience (a perk of Papyrus that’s still in question), but to curate my presence on the web.
