I hope this is just the first piece of fan mail you get and many more will come your way. https://i.imgur.com/TS5PZoZ.jpgI immediately wrote a thank you to the creator @sum and was inspired to make some fan art of my favorite Outcasts, who were the stars of my favorite anime and the project was accidentally born. When I first got into anime and manga, it was NOT cool. I was an outcast for burying my nose in a book and trading VHS tapes of "cartoons" in another language. I didn't find anyone who even knew what anime was until college, when I found my tribe. I am a huge fan of anime because I connected with the struggles of many of the characters and the stories of slowly but surely finding your place in the world. All of my favorite anime heroines and heroes are outcasts themselves. The Sailor Senshi were all outcasts, existing alone, until they found each other. My favorite band of pirates were outcasts for having big ambitious dreams and daring to vocalize them. My favorite ninja was shunned, treated as an outcast most of his life for being too powerful. I couldn't stop thinking about this and the art kept pouring out. Before I knew it, I had more magical girls, pirates, ninjas, fighters, mages, sorcerers, and heroes than I could ever have imagined and I had to share them. While they may not be the anime characters you know and love, I hope you can imagine them supporting your favorite character and see the inspiration of my favorite shows reflected in my art. This mint is for you @sum, thanks for the cookies, the art, and lighting a fire within me to take my art from a folder on my desktop and to put it out for all the world to see.
