# Discipline

I have recently been pondering the idea set forth by [Jocko Willink](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jocko_Willink) that **discipline is freedom**. Like, a lot. It suggests that by embracing discipline in our lives, we can create a sense of structure and purpose that ultimately leads to greater freedom and success.

I'm no Navy SEAL, but I think he is onto something here. I am eager to apply this to my own life in a variety of areas, documenting the journey (or quite possibly lack of) as I go. In fact, I already have 3 or four ideas percolating and basic outlines in the editor. Look for the first one to drop soon, more than likely video content.

But for now, I need to have the discipline to eat this donut before the chocolate melts on my fingers.
