# SNS Tokenomics

Hello everyone again! Today I am going to talk about a very exciting topic, $SNS token and its tokenomics.

What is $SNS?
-------------

$SNS is the token issued by StorkLab for [SNS](https://sns.domains/). As I mentioned before in my previous article, the [Sui Name Service](https://sns.domains/) will be registered as a legal entity off-shore and be owned through the $SNS token.

$SNS token will be used to vote on use of community funds, feature changes, or anything related to the SNS-products / direction. This will keep ensure that feature updates happen quickly, but also give token holders an outlet to make changes in the products and receive real ownership / equity.

Token Allocation as of Now
--------------------------

*   25%+ Airdropped to Community
    
*   75% Core Contributors / Token Treasury (yet to be divided)
    

Total Supply will be 100 million.

Intended Release Date: Q3 2023 — domain registration milestones.

25% to the Community? Wait, What?
---------------------------------

Yes, you read that right. As a company which is “built for people by the people”, this is nowhere near surprising. This is quite a heavy allocation for the community I have seen in a project. As their CEO says,

How to contribute to SNS and get Airdrop?
-----------------------------------------

As I have mentioned before, this is not a project you should miss out on. And I also believe in their motive of “community owned” concept. So, make sure you contribute well enough and get a reward in return.
