# A Soldier’s Cross

In the shadowed fields where bravery lies,

Between the echoes of battles, hearts arise.

There stands a symbol of sacrifice profound,

A soldier's cross, firmly planted in the ground.

Symbolic reminder of the ones who are lost,

The souls who paid the price, at humankind's cost.

A testament to honor, to duty and might,

A soldier's cross, standing tall, in solemn light.

Two simple elements, entwined with great care,

A rifle, silent, and a helmet, placed there.

A nod to the warrior, the fearless and bold,

Who ventured into chaos, their stories left untold.

The rifle, standing tall, a promise to protect,

To fight for freedom, with every breath, every step.

A tool of preservation, their steadfast companion,

A soldier's cross, a warrior's eternal anthem.

And then the helmet, sturdy and true,

A shield against harm, to see them safely through.

Carrying memories of comrades once near,

A soldier's cross, a tribute to the bond so dear.

As the wind whispers gently through the field,

The soldier's cross stands as a testament, revealed.

They may be gone, their bodies laid at rest,

But their spirit lives on, cherished and blessed.

So let us honor those who bravely stood,

Defending our freedoms, for the greater good.

For in the soldier's cross, we find strength and grace,

A symbol eternal, a hero's hallowed embrace.
