In the shadows of a troubled mind,A battle fought, unseen, confined.PTSD, a heavy weight I bear,A struggle hidden, branded unfair.Through sleepless nights and endless days,Haunted by memories that never fade.A war zone etched upon my soul,Where shattered pieces refuse to be whole.Each sound a trigger, a piercing dart,Echoes of a past that tore me apart.Memories like ghosts, they haunt my sleep,In nightmares deep, their secrets seep.Yet in the darkness, a flicker of light,A glimmer of hope, a chance to ignite.Resilience rising from depths unknown,A warrior emerges, scars proudly shown.Through therapy's embrace, I find the way,To navigate the chaos, day by day.Counselors and comrades lend their strength,Help me rebuild, my broken length.The road is winding, the path unclear,But determination whispers, "persevere."With patience as my sword, I fight the fight,Never giving up, for I am a survivor, shining bright.In community, I find solace and peace,Understanding hearts, who offer release.Their empathy, a balm to soothe the pain,A gentle reminder, I'm not alone in this strain.So let me stand, a testament of might,An advocate for healing, the voice for the fight.PTSD may have wounded my soul,But it will not define me, nor take control.Through my struggle, I find the power to heal,To reclaim my life, and my scars, to reveal.For though the battle continues, I remain strong,And with each step forward, I prove PTSD wrong.#Poems
