# Tears like raindrops

poem

---

In the depths of sorrow, tears softly cascade,

A shattered illusion, truths unraid.

For it is not you who stirs these emotions deep,

But the unveiling of masks, secrets to keep.

In the realm of dreams, where fantasies reside,

I believed in a version, where love did abide.

Yet reality's grip, a force so raw,

Unveiled the truth, and brought me to awe.

No, it's not you, dear one, worth my despair,

But the crumbling facade, a painful affair.

My tears, like gentle raindrops, cleanse the soul,

Revealing the strength within to make me whole.

For in the wake of shattered illusions, I stand,

Eyes wide open, embracing truth's demand.

No longer confined by the chains of deceit,

I rise from ashes, with spirit replete.

Though your presence once held a gleaming allure,

I now see the cracks in a love insecure.

I weep not for you, but for the loss I endure,

The delusion shattered, my heart left unsure.

Yet, from the fragments of truth that remain,

A stronger version of self begins to reclaim.

I'll cry for a moment, then gather my might,

For I am resilient, a beacon of light.

So let the tears fall, for they ease the pain,

Washing away falsehoods, making room to regain.

I'll trade delusion for truth, embrace what's real,

In this journey of healing, my heart shall heal.

For I am not defined by the ones who deceive,

But by the strength within, ready to achieve.

And as I forge forward, breaking free from the past,

I'll find solace in knowing, true love will outlast.
