poem

---

In the depths of my being, a fire burns bright,

A resolve within, reclaiming my light.

I stepped away, not out of apathy or disdain,

But out of love for myself, breaking free from the pain.

For I did too much, gave more than my share,

Aching in silence, it became too hard to.

I refuse to be treated as anything less,

I am worthy of love, of respect, nothing more and nothing less.

So I retreat, finding solace in solitude's embrace,

Rebuilding my strength, restoring my grace.

No longer will I allow the world to dictate my worth,

I stand tall, reclaiming the value of my birth.

I am no lesser, no diminished soul,

A radiant being, with a purpose to behold.

I step away to find my own rhythm and pace,

To rekindle the spark that can never be erased.

Let this be my anthem, my declaration loud and clear,

I won't settle for less, for I am stronger than fear.

I've learned to set boundaries, to honor my self-worth,

And in doing so, I've unlocked the true power of my berth.

So, dear one, remember your worth, your might,

Never let anyone diminish your inner light.

Step away when needed, for it is a sign of love,

To prioritize yourself, as the heavens look down from above.
