The development of testnets is a so-so difficult. Of course you have to make sure that the participants are in contact and that everything is correct. But then you also need to make sure that not too many participants go up the chain because it would destabilize it. And if more than a few small nodes had this access, then, in the end, the entire node network would be flooded. Then we would be stuck with a few bad nodes and no new nodes would join. It is quite a challenge and there are some alternative solutions like the proof of stake. But it requires a lot of trust. The most common way to test out your full node is with a “free trial” node — one which is connected to a full node. In this way, it is possible to see if everything is fine with the node before actually installing it into a full node device. This helps a lot, but it can be risky as well, so you have to test out the full node. You want to make sure that the node does what it is supposed to do. So, if there are some errors with it, we can fix them. The original Bitcoin
