Minecraft developer Mojang Studios has asked the operator of an independent, fan-run PC server to remove its Bitcoin-based Play-to-Earn (P2E) feature, which pays players in Bitcoin. Satlantis, the Minecraft server that pays users in Bitcoin, has announced that it will be discontinuing the feature. This is now prohibited by Mojang's rules.

Satlantis founder David Dineno said the P2E functionality will be removed from the servers at 12pm ET on Monday and advised players to withdraw Satoshis (the smallest denomination of Bitcoin) from the servers as soon as possible. In the meantime, Dineno said they plan to port this P2E feature to other gaming communities.
