# Blockchain data for all with Blast API

> The decentralized future cannot be built on centralized foundations.

Blockchains are public database, anyone can access them but to store and query blockchain data is very expensive.

Above is the ethereum blockchain network growing in size, the question to ask is

> How many people can run their own node( technical)
>
> How many can afford it( cost wise)

Many people can’t, the troubling thing is that this is just for Ethereum and there are over 150+ blockchain networks out there.

The solution up till now
------------------------

The way around this has been so far leveraging some centralized solutions, users use services like Etherscan and other block explorers to know what is happening on chain, Developers use services like Infura etc to access blockchain data through an API.

[https://cointelegraph.com/news/infura-is-to-blame-for-metamask-s-violation-of-the-crypto-spirit](https://cointelegraph.com/news/infura-is-to-blame-for-metamask-s-violation-of-the-crypto-spirit)

Metamask, Opensea, many DEXes have been found to violate the crypto spirit of permissionless access.

Another problem with using centralized services for accessing data is that of limitation imposed by the provider. This limitation can be in form of what services they offer and what services they don’t offer, who can and who cannot access those services and finally the rate with which they can access those service.

Another issue is that of centralization, much powers in a hands of too few can lead to abuse, a company whose core infrasctructure rely on some APIs can find itself in some hot waters if their API provider makes some swift unfavorable changes.

The Blast API solution
----------------------

Built by Bware Labs, Blast API is easily accessible by end users who which to connect their wallets to public endpoints and developers who which to access blockchain data.

some blockchains Blast API support

Blast API is ready for mainnet, meaning the network will soon be in the hands of the community, anyone will soon be able to earn $INFRA tokens for running a node so as to provide data to developers in a decentralized manner.

Also anyone can buy $INFRA tokens and stake them with a node provider and earn rewards as well. Developers will now be able to get access to quality data for a fee.

Blast API in numbers

How to access Blast API
-----------------------

You can access the network either as a consumer APP(here you connect to an endpoint specifically for you) or you can sign up as a node provider to provide quality data to the network.

You can instantly get access to over 40 blockchain networks, no technical experience required. The pricing is relatively affordable to developers ranging from a free tier to Enterprise package.

Bware Labs other solutions
--------------------------

Beyond Blast API, Bware Labs provide a suite of services to make building in Web3 seamless, some of these include

**Blocckhains** :It provides various services ranging from RPC endpoints, validation services, Blockchain API etc.

You can stake your tokens with Bware Labs, also other validations can access different blockchain snapshots through Bware labs.

The network also support cross chain bridging, it has partners like Avalanche, Axelar,Connext etc.

\*\*Appchains \*\*: The future is modular, get access to quickly building your own appchain be it a avalanche subnet or polygon supernet, get access to validator services and lots more.
