Identity in the Drift is unstable. Forms collapse. Voices scatter. What remains are fragments. Some inert. Static. Silent. Others carry signal. These signals can be worn. To wear a fragment is not to own it. It is to anchor yourself, briefly, against the current of the Drift. The signal does not define you. It marks you. It says that you were here. Many signals are still drifting. Not all endure. Some fade. Some corrupt. Some burn and erase themselves. Identity in the Drift is never permanent. It is only a signal in the static.
