Wow. There’s a saying that goes “all for one, and one for all.” That certainly was the vibe for this year’s Metaverse Fashion Week 2023.

Leading up to what will surely be known as the craziest fashion week to date, many creators were “scrambling” to ensure this event was one to remember.

“It was brutal trying to set all this up… but totally worth it,” one creator mentioned candidly during a community chat. The amount of talent and effort that went into each and every stage was incredible.

To give you a sense of how much the communities involvement was, on day three the community fashion show was co-curated by Decentraland native @tangpoko — who some would say was the “face of fashion week.”

Another example was the Haus of Fuego fashion show presented by the one and only @NikkiFuego who stunned the wearable community with their collaborations and progressive skins that included a powerful message for the LGBTQIA+ community.

> “I wanted to pave the way for LGBT and trans people within this space because it’s something that needs to be done,”

Nikki said during a Twitter Spaces. Trans representation is very important to the future of our society especially within Web3.

We saw a plethora of companies and brands flood the streets with vendors and deployments. A notable name brand experience was none other than Coach with their “Tabby” wearable reveal and mini game which gave you a sick emote.

Adidas made waves during fashion week as well from their lineup collaborations with @dapp\_craft. I’m definitely digging my adidas sweater/pullover for those cold meta-winters this season!

Last years fashion show was impressive to say the least but the installations this year are nothing short of spectacular. The main stage featured a dazzling rotating and cascading runway that gave the impression of a never ending loop. Something that you’d never see in the real world without some serious engineering.

Which speaks to the future of fashion and user experience. The limitations of design and logistics are a thing of the past with these new technologies. Builders and designers are free to express their most wildest ideas and creations relatively much easier than conventional methods.

With the introduction DCL Worlds only a couple months ago, we’re witnessing even more accessibility to new experiences. Now, just owning a Decentraland name gives you access to deploy your own scene that users can visit and enjoy just as if they were in Genesis City (Decentraland’s main server).
