# Sub-Atomic Habits

I read James Clear’s book on Atomic Habits and it really struck a chord with me. Whether it was his personal example of recovering from a near-death hopeless situation to becoming a competitive athlete or the examples of 1% improvement with the British cycling team, these are pretty real. More than half the battle is showing up. Of all the things I have ever achieved, other than the one-off freak incidents that I can call fluke, or dumb luck, those have all come from small incremental improvements from just showing up every day.

So, the concept of habits is a strong one and discipline is sticking to those habits no matter what and not letting go. In the spirit of this, I have setup a Dework board that now tracks 10 habits. I don’t expect to get to each one every day, but would like to tracks daily score 0-10 and get to a 7+ each day. This gives me some liberty and flexibility to choose which 3 to skip, but I want to hit 7 each day. If I don’t cover one of the habits on 3 of the 7 days, that will need a review the next week.

Let’s do this! The habits??

*   Reading

*   Writing

*   Meditate

*   Learning Skill

*   Build Circle

*   Side Hustle

*   Moving - 10k steps

*   Workout or Lifting

*   Journaling

*   Sleeping well

I can already see the ones that are at a risk of being missed more than 3… so let’s do this. The tools I use?

*   Apple Fitness

*   Notion

*   Dework (web3 trello)

*   Toggl

*   Headspace

*   Udemy

*   Oura
