If you’ve been following [_my writing_](https://medium.com/@NotRealAqua/haunting-the-hungry-ghosts-80598c1f5bd8) or [_twitter_](https://twitter.com/aquathickshell), you probably know I spend a lot of time in Twitter Spaces learning more about various new NFT projects. Especially, I tend to listen to those run by the Aussie Alpha Collective (a group of Aussie web 3.0 projects collaborating to help grow the space, including the [_MetaBogans_](https://mirror.xyz/0x6ca15C7F22e506210C013c639d505EC444989572/vCHv3edPrlfNnlYLoKG5g-DhuPQKx4EfaF1EIC_sryg), who I’ve covered before). One of the projects from the collective who I’ve heard consistently engage with the space are the ‘**Cheeky Chooks**’ by **_Chipin_**.

Before I get to the NFT side of things, it’s worthwhile covering Chipin themselves for a bit of context.

So who or what is Chipin? Chipin are an Aussie start-up built around improving the gifting experience. Coming from Melbourne, Chipin aims to minimise the wastage associated with unwanted gifting and improve the experience for everyone by giving people a simple platform to share their wishlist and contribute (or ‘chip in’) towards gifts for others.

How does it work? Simple: download the app, set up your profile, create a ‘chiplist’ and then share it around. If you’re wanting to chip in to someone else’s gift, it’s as simple as selecting the item, adding a message and sending the money.
