# Ashera Verify : Gateaway to the DAO System

One of the major features of digital currencies is that they are decentralized. This means they are not controlled by a single institution like a government or central bank, but instead are divided among a variety of computers, networks, and nodes. In many cases, virtual currencies make use of this decentralized status to attain levels of privacy and security that are typically unavailable to standard currencies and their transactions.

The DAO was an organization that was designed to be automated and decentralized. DAOs are an effective and safe way to work with like-minded folks around the globe. Think of them like an internet-native business that’s collectively owned and managed by its members. They have built-in treasuries that no one has the authority to access without the approval of the group. Decisions are governed by proposals and voting to ensure everyone in the organization has a voice.

There’s no CEO who can authorize spending based on their own whims and no chance of a dodgy CFO manipulating the books. Everything is out in the open and the rules around spending are baked into the DAO via its code.

Ashera Verify is the first step to creating a DAO system. Gateway to verify members. This is our step to select suitable members to enter the DAO system. This verification is also useful to avoid our members who are bots.

Starting an organization with someone that involves funding and money requires a lot of trust in the people you’re working with. But it’s hard to trust someone you’ve only ever interacted with on the internet. With DAOs you don’t need to trust anyone else in the group.

Developers can add Additional Discord Roles for their members who hold their tokens. Developers are free to set the minimum number of tokens they must hold to determine their roles.

This is an early stage for Ashera Verify, there are still many other developments to be done. Updates will come continuously.
