I draw. And my challenge is to try to reach in art what I want to see in real life. I dont know what that is until the drawingg it’s done. I like to approach it in a therapeutic way. Alejandro Jodorowski is a great inspiration in the aproach. Watching Jodorowski’s movies, I realized that this person must be light as a feather, not only because of the memories he shares but also due to the conflicts of his past he resolves within his work. I wanted to be this light and bring this awareness to others. That would be amazing. Nowadays, I also draw from a place of intuition, trust and pleasure. Textures, colors, and lines communicate volumes as well. Francis Bacon didn’t like abstract art. I love abstract art, although I cannot create it. I dont know when to stop an abstract work. Perhaps, someday I will be able to. For now, I’m on a journey of figurative drawing, exploring scale fiction and always ways to challenge myself.

As an observer of the world, you’ve likely experienced moments of feeling big and others where you felt small. These are feelings I try to bring in my artwork. I think that perspective is humbling. Also I like to think of self-reflection, silence, solitude, communion with nature, and youth in the world.

I’m doing postcards inspired by On Kawara. Sending them to all parts of the world. Kawara sent postcards documenting the time he woke up, numbering in the thousands. I would love to have one of them and imagine how that day went. There is something special in physicality.
