"The History of String" Book Release: Barnes & Noble in Naperville will hold a book launch for " The event will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 at the store, 1035 N. Naper Blvd. A panel discussion featuring a few of the authors and agents will follow the event. Refreshments will be served and all books will be available for purchase. Books will be available for purchase in the following Barnes & Noble locations: Aurora, Bolingbrook, Downers Grove, Elgin, Glen Ellyn, Joliet, Lombard, Naperville, North Aurora, Orland Park, Peoria and Woodridge. A portion of the book sales will be donated to The Rising Foundation, a Naperville based charitable organization committed to addressing mental illness in the community. New Moon on the Prairie: The Naperville Park District will host a New Moon on the Prairie 5:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Abington Community Center, 3244 W. Abington Road. The event will feature a bonfire, firepits and s'mores, with an outdoor movie to follow. Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chairs and a non-alcoholic beverage.
