# 📉 🧑‍🔬 I fail waaaaaay more than most people. (This is a good thing.) > #Newsletter #Week13 **Published by:** [Sara Endestad](https://paragraph.com/@saraendestad/) **Published on:** 2026-03-27 **URL:** https://paragraph.com/@saraendestad/i-fail-waaaaaay-more-than-most-people-this-is-a-good-thing ## Content OK, I recently heard a scientist say: "They’ve proven that successful people have way more failures than people who didn’t succeed." Then I started thinking about all the successes I’ve seen— do they have more failures than the average person? Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, got rejection after rejection when wanting to create her product. Today, she’s a billionaire. (P.S. Her dad used to ask her, "So what did you fail at this week?" every week. Failing was considered good in her household. It meant they tried.)Tim Ferriss’s MEGAsuccessful book, The 4-Hour Workweek, was rejected by 27 publishers before it finally got printed. And Thomas Edison? How many times did he fail before he finally invented the electric light bulb? I don´t know, but his famous quote might give us a clue: “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” Looking at their numbers, I almost feel embarrassed that I only had three failed marketing campaigns in 2025. Now I kind of wish I had at least 15. In 2026, I’ve already had three more marketing fails. 2026 is looking good: I’m failing more. I’m failing faster. Moving closer to the goalpost at an incredible speed. So I’ll leave this one to you: How much faster would you fail if you only needed to fail 30 more times? Let’s keep going. (P.S. Yes, this is a picture from my book.)/ Sara < 3 ## Publication Information - [Sara Endestad](https://paragraph.com/@saraendestad/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@saraendestad/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@saraendestad): Subscribe to updates
