I was thinking about how to deal with getting hit with new big and unexpected stuff, when life is already… big and unexpected.
As in when your capacity to deal with life is at its max, and then the universe (or whoever is controlling this circus that is life) hits you with yet another huge thing…
(Because that´s literally my life right now )
What do you do?
Some say, “fuck it,” and give up.
Others say, “BRING IT ON!!! Imma show u what I’m made of.”
And I think there’s the thing… the moment we decide we’re a “fuck it” person or a “bring it on” person, that’s the moment we’re fucked.
Why?
Not all things should be ignored, and not all things should be dealt with.
You gotta be flexible.
Gotta be you.
🌀 Emotional flexibility. That’s what we want.
According to ChatGPT it´s:
"the ability to manage emotions and adapt to changing circumstances with a range of regulation strategies."
And that robot also told me: research shows that people with emotional flexibility recover faster, adapt better, experience less anxiety, and have healthier relationships.
So “yes, thank you” to all of them.
Right?
The adaptables do life better.
💥 But here’s the kicker 💥

You can’t be too adaptable, because guess what happens then… you´re just a shell and a people pleaser.
You gotta have a strong core too.
Diiiiid you just see what I did there? Asked you to be emotionally flexible.
Be adaptable, be authentic.
Be a paradox. And multifaceted.
Sometimes hard, sometimes soft.
Flexible.
Be you — all of it 🌊
✨ Liiiiife update:
Boy oh boooooyyy. Overwhelm. That’s how I feel.
It’s what I’ve been feeling for at least 4–5 weeks now.
The business is demanding.
Therapy is demanding.
And my training is demanding (because that’s my main outlet to “relax” — because the thing I need a break from is my thoughts, and the most effective way is working out really really hard).
🔗 🔗 🔗 But one cool thing you might wanna check out is my updated business profile: https://www.instagram.com/suksessstrategi
I’ve started posting more content there. It’s for action-oriented entrepreneurs who want to use psychology and strategic thinking to stop doing soul-sucking work and start doing what they enjoy and finally hit their real goals that way.
But feel free to follow, whoever you are.
You’re invited to the party✨
Talk next week!
