I'm exploring different forms of freedom through poetry, free-form texts in english. Funnily English is my mother’s language but not my native language. English is also my ancestors’ language both from my mom and dad. Exploring my own expressions in English is being close to her (I lost her, years ago) and to them, reclaiming a sense of identity. Oppression is sometimes a sort of operating pressure We or other people put on ourselves The pressure can be anything From implicit to something brutal Something lethal Conquering freedom is being conscious of the operating pressure Even though being conscious may alleviate nothing What are the lies The lies we tell ourselves or we accept to trust In order to forget (that) our life is finite Thanking you for reading.
