lovely podcast listen.

this lp and that show at neumos represents a beautiful turning point where my life in seattle and as an immigrant in america started to feel like the american dream id had since a boy and this interview was beautiful - the story of the bands hard work and simple pure ambitions sound so clear listening back and that live show a couple of blocks down from the coolest apt i ever lived in that mpod and i caught was 🔥🔥🔥 now i realize in part because of that brush with death that creates pure aliveness.

that classic brevity and vinyl-inspired sequencing of the lp still powerful - suppose its a cultural conditioning that the original physical media continues to have on us generations and multiple format-replacements later even in the current format-less listening-scape.

the lovely humility of the cover needed to fill the void they couldn’t make themselves. the importance of covers for discovery amongst newer younger listeners (like guns n roses’ covers, nirvana > pixies > jesus mary chain > leonord cohen back and back and back).

celebration rock <> combat rock.
