# Hello World **Published by:** [Shamblz](https://paragraph.com/@shamblz/) **Published on:** 2022-09-04 **URL:** https://paragraph.com/@shamblz/hello-world ## Content I always knew building the Shamblz project, brand, name (whatever you want to call it) would never follow the typical path laid out for most music producers and artists. Call it hu·bris, call it innovation (fork ‘em), call it forward thinking and a desire to see the deal changed for artists and creators, really call it whatever you want. My thought is that moving forward, social capital and influence online will become evermore important in a connected (and steadily growing in that connection) world brought on by the internet. Musicians and artists must adapt to this new world and create established and recognizable personas. This online persona will become a larger part of the musician as a whole, with their work no longer taking up such a large part of the pie. Now, this won’t be true for all artists. Many artists will lament this change (I get it, I would love to just lock myself in my room and make music for most of the day then be successful as well). However, this simply is not the reality for most. I would argue, in fact, that missing out on the opportunity to build this persona and elevate your work is doing much more harm than good. As the saying goes, an empty sack cannot stand upright. By not taking advantage of the opportunities availed by a strong online presence, you leave yourself with less income opportunities. Less income generally means less time to hone your craft and become the master that I feel most of us want to be someday (unless you already have great wealth stored away, then hats off to you! Although, I do see many of the rich and powerful like Ray Dalio and Kevin O’Leary building this social presence even though they clearly don’t need the additional income). This brings us to the reason for starting this blog. I hope that it will not only serve as a building block for my* *own personal project (Shamblz), but will also serve as a guide, inspiration, or education to anyone else who feels the weight of their own dream to be a creative (or build something for themselves). I hope you find it helpful, and I appreciate you taking the time to read it. ## Publication Information - [Shamblz](https://paragraph.com/@shamblz/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@shamblz/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@shamblz): Subscribe to updates
