People love labels. Newbie. Expert. OG. Influencer. But labels don’t describe reality, they shape behavior. When someone calls themselves a newbie, they unconsciously give themselves permission to stay small: • to ask without contributing • to consume without building • to wait instead of experimenting That word sounds harmless, but it trains the mind to expect dependency. I don’t call myself a newbie. I call myself a Web3 Explorer. Why “Explorer” changes everything An explorer doesn’t pretend to know everything, but also doesn’t wait to be spoon-fed. Explorers: • observe systems instead of worshipping narratives • ask better questions, not louder ones • document what they learn while learning In Web3, this mindset matters more than speed. Most people rush to: • farm alpha • chase grants • copy threads • repeat talking points Very few stop to understand why systems behave the way they do. Web3 doesn’t reward noise forever Hype cycles are loud, but they’re temporary. What survives are people who: • understand incentives • earn trust over time • can explain complexity clearly The ecosystem is already shifting: • from followers → contributors • from influencers → builders • from hype → credibility Explorers adapt early. Hype chasers adapt late. My approach here I’m not here to sell dreams or pretend certainty. I’m here to: • break down Web3 systems without romanticizing them • question narratives that feel good but fail under scrutiny • write from curiosity, not authority Some posts will be uncomfortable. Some will be slow burns. None will be written for algorithms alone. If you’re looking for shortcuts, this may bore you. If you’re trying to think clearly in a noisy ecosystem, you’ll feel at home. A note to those just starting You don’t need permission to contribute. You don’t need a title to think critically. You don’t need to know everything to write something honest.
