# 以太坊使用的共识叫 Casper the Friendly Finality Gadget

我们比较容器粗浅地认为，以太坊使用的共识机制叫 Proof of Stake，实际上 PoS 只是一种统称，Casper FFG 是 PoS 的具体实现，是 Vitalik 本人提出的，结合了 PBFT 的使用二次投票的方式来决定 justified checkpoint 和 finally checkpoint。

Casper FFG 也使用了和比特币不一样的 fork choice 方式，而 jusitiied checkpoint 是用来在分叉时候做选择的依据。

另外，感觉以太坊处处都显示出它特有的复杂设计。
