In the first part of this series, I took a step back to map out the intricate web of commitments, ideas, and aspirations that make up my career. I explored how tools like ChatGPT and Claude could help organise the chaos, turning fragmented thoughts into structured documents. While these early steps provided clarity and structure, they were just the beginning of a much larger journey: building a comprehensive framework that represents the full scope of my creative practice.
In this next post, I’ll share how I used those foundational documents to develop a general business framework—one that ties together the multidisciplinary nature of my work into something coherent and actionable. Using Claude, I’ll demonstrate how I began turning high-level ideas into a system that doesn’t just describe what I do but also communicates it effectively to collaborators, supporters, and potential partners. This is where strategy meets creativity, and where the groundwork laid in post one transforms into a roadmap for building and sustaining something that feels like me.
Next took all the documents I had created in part 1 in the hope that the more detail and better organised context would improve the out put. I created a project and uploaded the documents making sure they were clearly labeled and gave it this prompt:
The AI returned with a structured framework that highlighted key areas to focus on:
Core Identity and Mission: Defining what makes Sound of Fractures unique.
Operational Needs: Identifying immediate priorities, like admin support and marketing workflows.
Revenue Streams: Exploring direct and indirect income sources, from Web3 tools to consulting and exhibitions.
Growth Areas: Outlining long-term opportunities, such as building a creative team and scaling through partnerships.

I've created a comprehensive framework that transforms Sound of Fractures into a multi-disciplinary creative studio while maintaining its experimental and artistic core. The framework is organized into seven key sections that address both immediate needs and long-term growth.
Some key aspects I'd like to highlight:
The framework maintains your artistic integrity while creating clear business units that can generate sustainable revenue.
I've identified four main business units that align with your current work:
Music & Audio (your core artistic work)
Research & Innovation (leveraging your academic background)
Creative Services (consulting and advisory work)
Products & Experiences (physical and digital offerings)
For immediate operational needs, I've prioritized:
Administrative support for project coordination
Marketing and communications
Technical support for platform maintenance
Would you like me to elaborate on any particular aspect of this framework? We could dig deeper into specific areas like:
Detailed operational workflows
Revenue model specifics
Project management systems
Team structure and hiring priorities
What aspect would be most helpful to explore further?”
Clarity on the Bigger Picture: The AI helped me see my career as more than just a series of projects. It encouraged me to think of Sound of Fractures as a creative studio—a multidisciplinary entity with its own identity, structure, and potential. They can be under one banner.
A Starting Point for Organisation: The conversation gave me an outline of what needed to be done immediately versus what could wait. For example:
Immediate: Delegate admin tasks and streamline event coordination.
Medium-term: Develop partnerships and improve content workflows.
Reframing Challenges as Opportunities: Instead of seeing my multidisciplinary approach as a limitation, the AI helped me reframed it as a strength. It helped me envision new revenue models and engagement strategies that aligned with my ethos.
Finally I was arriving at something useful, but also other challenges were being confirmed. I had something that felt tangible and useful to me to work with, but it really drove home how hard this was going to be, and it needed a lot of thought around how to fund it. This was not going to wash with a traditional music manager, so I knew I was on the right track taking on this process, but it wasn’t going to be a matter of using this to better explain my world to a music industry person, I really am going to have to build my own thing from the ground up.
Im going to be honest as I always try to be, as i’m writing this i’m thinking: should these posts be on the payed subscription? Is this one of the things I will need to explore to make this model work? Will people support this journey without an incentive? I don’t know the answer to this, but I cant help but think if 100 people drunk one less coffee and instead put that money into subscribing I would literally be able to spend 1 more day a week on music, developing this project and sharing what I learn. I will have to dig into to how artists fund their work; why is patronage, brand partnerships and commissions from high network individuals so normal in other creative areas, and what should I be doing to explore and learn about those? So, lots more questions, but that why I’m doing this, so I can answer some of those by taking action, doing, and experimenting.
In the next post, I’ll share how I used AI to map out my commitments and identify the overlaps, redundancies, and priorities that shaped the guide document for Sound of Fractures. What is it I can actually do next
