In highschool you was the man Dall-e, or whatever 50 cent said i’m 3 for 3 with these rap puns idgaf what u think lol. I recently got access to Dalle-2 and let me tell you---it is very dope. I spent literal hours playing around with it & experimenting and it’s a lot of fun. For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, Dall-e is an A.I system that generates images based on whatever you type into it. Pretty much whatever you’re thinking, just type it into Dall-e, and it will spit out an image. https://twitter.com/OpenAI/status/1547643186742382592?s=20&t=JMr2axLdy8LaDn-CaX5BaA There’s a lot of machine learning stuff going on under the hood to make this work, which is cool because you get to immediately see your ideas. Tbh you can do a lot with this, but for my first go around I primarily used it like a camera (lol go figure). Check out some of my images below, all of them were created from just typing prompts.I first started off typing in stuff about cowboys and such:i like trying to understand how dall-e recreates certain film stocks. this was an example of ektar 100dall-e's recreation of film is very interesting to mei like when dall-e creates these quadrant type compositions.i thought this was interesting. i wanted to see if dall-e could recreate a contact sheetrecreating neon signs with dall-eDuring this part I wanted to see a 70s disco vibe so I typed prompts that revolved around that:Here is where I got a bit weird. I wanted to try some other stuff to see if I could get Dall-e to make some unique composites.Lately I’ve been super into showing motion within photography and wanted to see how Dall-e could interpret prompts based on that:person falling in showerpeople walking up mountaincar driving around mountainAll in all, Dall-e is a lot of fun. It’s easy enough for anyone to pick up and use, but there’s a lot of depth to it. Using Dall-e makes me feel like Robin Williams in Flubber. You put in what you want and it spits it back to you. I definitely will be using this more often.
