Welcome to SoundSparks.

In every songwriting session, after a couple of minutes of getting to know each other, everyone looks at the producer to play something. Throughout my 10+ year career in the music industry, I’ve realized how crucial these 30 seconds are. It’s either the start of a creative avalanche that leads to an amazing song or an hour-long uphill battle of trying to get the wheels turning.

Hi, my name is [Michael Morgan](https://michaelmorgan.studio). I am a songwriter and producer. One day in January of 2022, I was meditating on a thought:

**How could I collaborate with 100’s of people at once?**

Then I had a crazy idea. What if I came up with a large collection of riffs or vibes to start a song like I usually do in a writing session?

**That is when SoundSparks was born.** Over the course of the next 2 months, I sat down pretty much every day and came up with an idea. A spark of a song. Sometimes they were only a guitar riff, sometimes they were chords and a hook melody. After doing this for a couple of weeks I had a decent collection, about 30 or so. I wondered what would happen if I kept going. Could I hit 100?

At times it felt like I was wasting my time only coming up with song ideas and not finishing anything. But after pushing through I finally accomplished 100 ideas and now I am ready to share this crazy dream with you. So here is **my ultimate goal, to help pave the way for the next generation of music collaborations.**

I challenge the entire music community to help me see if this can work. Here’s how it would go in my head. I provide you with an idea for a song (_and some dope artwork_). You can write, make the song amazing, finish and release it. Here’s where it gets fun: you can offer the initial inspiration to your fans/community by putting the SoundSpark back up for sale and they can own a piece of music history that inspired you or continue trading the unique 1of1 idea forever.

It’s crazy but I know it will work.

My dream is for the discord to become a space where people can share their music, talk about production, songwriting, finding inspiration, spirituality… who knows. The sky is the limit here.

Now, this is just Phase 1 of SoundSparks. This is a proof of concept and I have big plans to grow this with other producers and musicians. So come along for the ride.
