# My cost breakdown to mint 19/27 Scroll Canvas badges

I’ve been too lazy to start on the Scroll Canvas mints, but I finally sat down and claimed 70% of them.

Here’s how much I paid to claim 19 (out of 27) badges with $500 in capital:

Apart from Marks, I believe that badges minted on Scroll Canvas could play an important factor in the Scroll airdrop.

On-chain reputation is highly coveted by projects, and these badges are a good representation of your contribution to the Scroll ecosystem.

But before we can claim these badges, I had to mint this first:

### Scroll Canvas NFT

This NFT is a space to display all of our on-chain credentials.

### Minting each Canvas badge

The criteria to mint all of the Canvas badges can be found below:

And here's how much I paid to mint each one:

#### #1 Gitcoin Passport NFT

$3.58 (0.0009 ETH + gas fee)  
This badge is only available if your Gitcoin Passport score is > 20.

#### #2 ZNS Connect

$3.27 (0.000982 ETH)  
Don't forget to switch your network to Scroll, or you may mint the domain on another network.

It's best to double-check that your domain ends with '.scroll'.

#### #3 Symbiosis Scroll Swapper ($10/$100 swap)

Unlike other DEXes on Scroll, I incurred a significant fee when swapping on Symbiosis:  
$1 in slippage (0.0035 ETH for 10.61 USDT)  
The $100 swap badge came after I swapped the first $10.  
So I made a $500 swap just in case Symbiosis introduced a 'swap $500 badge' in the future.  
This resulted in me incurring another $2.24 in slippage (0.16 ETH for 503.04 USDC)

#### #4 Symbiosis Cross-Chain Whale (bridge $10/$100/$500)

By bridging $500 to Scroll, I was eligible to mint all 3 badges with just one transaction.  
I used Jumper to bridge ETH from Scroll to Base (with Stargate V2), before bridging back to Scroll to claim all 3 badges.

It took 40 minutes before my funds arrived on Scroll, so just a heads up.  
Total fees: $2.38 (0.00075 ETH)

#### #5 Ambient Swapooor

I incurred some slippage when swapping on Ambient too:  
$1.75 (0.0155 ETH for 513.45 USDC)

#### #6 Ambient Filloor (Fill a limit order of ≥ $500)

Depending on the limit price that you set for your trade, there may be some slippage incurred too.

I'm holding 0.009 solvBTC.B on Pencils, which I bridged over from BSC to Scroll using the Free bridge:

No cost was required to mint this badge, all I did was link my Discord account.

#### #9 Scroll Booster

Minted another useless domain for $5 (0.001506 ETH)

#### #10 Trusta Score

I spent $0.66 (0.0002 ETH) on Linea to mint my score, before I could mint the badge.

#### #11 Retro Bridge (Bridge 0.05 ETH/$150 of stables)

I spent $1.75 to bridge my funds with @retro\_bridge as I hold the Early Sunrise NFT.  
But it would cost $2.50 if you don't own it.

#### #12 Smilecobra Genesis Badge

A game with horrible UI, there were 4 steps I had to complete before wasting $1.89 (0.0006 ETH) on a useless NFT.

#### #13 XenoBunny Scroll Explorer

This is similar to the Kroma Ore quests, and I spent $1.58 (0.0005 ETH) to mint a land NFT.

Don't forget to switch your network to Scroll, otherwise you'd be wasting your funds on another network.  
According to their Discord, the Scroll Overlord badge can only be minted in 2 weeks' time (when the Land War season starts).

#### #14 Scrolly

This domain costs 50,000 SCROLLY (~ $0.72), and I swapped my funds to this token with @JumperExchange before making the purchase.

#### #15 OmniHub

Deploy NFT collection: $0.32 (0.0001 ETH)  
Unlike the Mint Expedition campaign, I did not have to mint an NFT to verify.  
After deploying the collection, I could verify this task and claim the badge.

### Badges that I've yet to mint

I skipped these ones for now as I don't have the capital to complete them:

*   Ambient Providoor ($1k in LP) and Yeet
    
*   Zebra ($1k in LP)
    
*   Pencil S Badge (deposit 0.5 ETH worth of funds)
    

I missed the Scroller Agent Badge as I was too late to complete the task.

This is just the start of the Scroll campaign, and I expect more badges to be added soon.
