THE OG UNDIE

So why this and why … now?

We all know the NFT space has been slowing down. Fear would tell us that this space is dead in the short run and that web3 as a project is going nowhere. The fact is that every new idea and space goes through many ups and downs before enough people believe in it. We still believe in this space .. and we hope our work and effort breathes more life into this.

It does not start and end with the artwork, but rather the art is the first block of work that needs to be created for the rest of the story to pan out. We are all writing our stories at the end of the day.. (aren’t we?)

We love the artwork, its simple, flexible (much like our undies) and helps carry the story we want to tell.

Over time, people have started spending more time online, more of the attention has been concentrated, working on laptops, talking over the phone or texting your friends and families the “GM” messages.

The internet bridged the communication gap, but did very little to help us establish our own unique identities which would help people remember us. NFT’s strangely solve this problem to an extent.. they also extend the funny expressions we as humans want to project without being obvious about it.

Memory is also a funny thing, it remembers stuff from our past as long as they are absurd, funny, relatable and .. thus get familiar over time (meme’s are a great example of this) it also allows us to share them with people we love and want to spend our time and lives with. (Hopefully they laugh with us :) )

\-----

The NFT space is also a speculative one.. and thats alright, people are still trying to gauge what the real value of the art work will be in the future. Let’s step back a little… if these are extensions and expressions of our own minds and what we represent, funny or otherwise. These images provide a view into our souls.. (not our undies.. hopefully)

in 2021, when we started watching this space blow up, we didn’t fully understand why. So we decided to spend time trying to understand it. (We didn’t.. not fully .. lol)

What became more obvious to us, is that once the hype slowed down, the fundamentals would remain:

• Build stories that people would love to share.
• Artwork that was funny and relatable. • .. and a long term plan that would build this into something people would identify with for a long time to come.

So we started writing this, building the artwork and launched this.. (oh boy.. was that an epic failure), we sucked at marketing, we still probably do… but we love building ideas and products out.

So here we are, relaunching this and still here fighting to write the absurd, funny and absolutely fun story that we absolutely believe has plenty of unexplored value.

So.. put on that underwear… get comfy and … probably ready to laugh a little at us. (wink wink)

oh and go find us. We are all over the place now.. waiting for you (our community) to join us and help us write the direction of this. We want to hear from you.
