Until next time! 🍜🇻🇳 * * * SUMM3R INSIGHTS 🔬 ================== **_Turbulent times in web3!_** _Hundreds of millions of users in a crypto game and an assassination attempt that pumped the markets – always wild, never boring, and clearly as unpredictable as it always has been._ _Let’s dive into some fun things we have picked up on the SUMM3R radar!_ **What a time to be a Bitcoiner!** After an assassination attempt, Trump is back, with a former VC turned Bitcoin-hodling VP running mate and an appearance at the Bitcoin2024 conference in Nashville. The markets are buzzing. If we could only get over Mt. GOX and it should be smooth sailing towards new ATHs. Are you bullish? **What are Runes?** Everyone’s asking! Runes are a new token standard on the mother chain, Bitcoin. Some are memes, others are utility tokens for projects. Sure there are still a lot of infrastructure missing but being this early to something that could potentially be a huge catalyst for everything Bitcoin, are you sure you want to fade it? **Who knew hamsters would be such a hit?** Hamster Kombat on the TON blockchain has taken the scene by storm, onboarding hundreds of millions of users, seemingly effortlessly. It proves that launching a web3 product where users already exist is way easier than starting from scratch. Who would've known!? Will we see every other project launch a TG bot as part of their new user acquisition strategy? Most likely we will see thousands of them. Will all of them succeed? Probably not. But there's a new meta emerging, and it's attracting web2 platforms to dive into web3 waters. **Is there a looming TGE mania in H2?** After many VCs got burned in the last cycle, holding heavy bags of SAFTs and unlaunched tokens, we saw a TGE frenzy kick off right after the halving. It seemed like every past-cycle project would TGE in June and July. Markets slowed down and that didn’t happen. Now, we're looking at late Q3 and early Q4 for the action. Why is this good? VCs aren’t deploying much until they recoup some of their losses, making it tough for new projects. Plus, fresh capital is sparse, mostly trickling in through ETFs. If 1000 new projects launch at once, the market's liquidity will be stretched thin. And with new L2s, L3s, and sidechains launching every week, what will happen to mature chains from past cycles? The suspense is real – we'll have to wait and see! So there you have it – wild times and thrilling developments! From Trump’s Bitcoin buzz to the rise of Runes and hamster games, the crypto space is anything but dull.
