The update rolled out simultaneously across Base, Ink, OP Mainnet, Soneium, Unichain, and other Superchain networks, making the Superchain the first layer two ecosystem to support Pectra. By design, the OP Stack keeps execution logic nearly identical to Ethereum, letting improvements flow straight to every connected chain and sustaining the Superchain’s lead, which accounted for almost seventy percent of all layer two fee revenue in April. Pectra delivers immediate wins for Superchain users and developers. Builders can now spin up sovereign chains that settle to Ethereum, tap AggLayer’s unified liquidity, and avoid seven-day withdrawal delays or extra taxes, all while developing in the same Geth-based stack they already know. Read more about the AggLayer CDK launch here.BOB GatewayBOB Gateway is a Bitcoin intent bridge that lets users move from native BTC to wrapped or staked BTC assets such as WBTC, tBTC, or BTC LSTs in a single transaction. Liquidity providers lock wrapped Bitcoin on BOB, the gateway verifies each Bitcoin deposit with an on-chain light client, and the requested asset is delivered directly to the user’s EVM address. The swap is atomic and trustless, so neither the user nor the LP must rely on a custodian and failed deposits cannot occur. Integration is easy with the BOB SDK. Developers fetch available tokens, request a quote, reserve LP funds, and create a partially signed Bitcoin transaction for the user. After the signed transaction is broadcast and finalized, Gateway mints or transfers the wrapped asset on BOB, optionally routing it through lending or staking strategies, and can even swap a small amount for ETH gas. This unlocks Bitcoin liquidity for any DeFi app while giving users fewer steps, lower costs, and instant access to Bitcoin-backed yield.
