# Introducing Quantum Horizon

We are excited to announce the launch of our **Quantum Horizon Rebate Program** introducing a new retroactive reward structure and reward distribution.

**Why Quantum Horizon?**
------------------------

Quantum Horizon is built around two core objectives:

1.  **Accelerate decentralization of ownership of the DEX** by empowering and incentivizing community veNOVA holders
    
2.  **Make Locking More Attractive and Rewarding:** The effective payback time for new locks (or adding to current ones) is reduced. This makes participation more cost-efficient and appealing, motivating fresh engagement and deeper commitment from the community
    

**How Does Quantum Horizon Work?**
----------------------------------

Launching with a total of **5,000,000 veNOVA rebates available**, the rules for the program are:

1.  Create a **Supermassive** lock with a minimum of **2000 veNOVA** (excluding airdrop locks)
    
2.  Extend an existing **Supermassive** lock by at least **2000 veNOVA** during the season
    
    This only applies to **Supermassive** locks, as long as the 2000 veNOVA minimum is met
    
3.  If locks transfer between wallets, the rebate is awarded to the **wallet that performs the locking action**, ensuring fairness
    
4.  Tokens claimed as Rebase will not be eligible for a rebate
    
5.  Each locker can receive a rebate **up to 10% of the season’s total pool**. This cap of 10% encourages broad participation while avoiding concentration of rewards in a few large holders
    
6.  The rebate will come in the form of a **Supermassive NFT airdropped directly to qualifying wallets**

Retroactive Rewards
-------------------

**Structure:** The reward structure is fixed at a 100% rebate rate, meaning the program is capped to the first 5,000,000 NOVA locked as Supermassive veNFTs. There will be a 1:1 match for every veNOVA burned until the cap is met.

**Distribution:** Rewards will be distributed every 2 epochs. This means lockers do not have to wait last second to burn, but rather can get airdropped veNFTs shortly after creating locks.

**Dune Dashboard**
------------------

To keep everyone in the loop, a dedicated [Dune Dashboard](https://dune.com/supernovadex/quantum-horizon-program) tracks fresh locks and rebate percentages throughout the Quantum Horizon program. From the launch of NOVA until the season’s close, you can watch progress, seeing exactly which wallets are locking, how much veNOVA they’re committing, and the rebates earned so far.

_Wallets have been retroactively tracked since Feb 18th. Anyone who created new locks or added to existing ones since then, can also qualify for rebate rewards._
