# Project Review: Tea

[**Tea**](https://tea.xyz/) is an open-source tool created for developers. Batch Dispatcher, which uses Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) to reward developers for their contributions to OSS.

### Project Founders:

**Max Howell** – Previously worked at Apple, MyHealthily, and is also the founder of Homebrew **Timothy Lewis** - He has extensive experience in Web3. Has been involved in the development of Predict Global, Growcards, DEVxDAO and other startups.

**Max** and **Timothy** met in Chicago in late 2013. They worked together on many projects, both passionate about what people can build in an open environment that encourages and fosters contribution.

### Activities in Discord:

**Discord currently has roles that can be obtained:** White Tea role: You need to be on the server for 3 weeks and have ~475 XP Green Tea: You need to be on the server for 6 weeks and have ~1100 XP Oolong Tea role: You need to be on the server for 8 weeks and have ~2,500 XP Black Tea role: Must be on the server for 16 weeks and have ~7000 XP

### How to become a mentor:

All you have to do is go into the 👋welcome and 🔥general channels and introduce yourself to our new members (they will have New Member roles).  
Ask them if they have a mentor and would like you to be their guide through our project and show them what they can do on the server.  
If they agree, they should write "!mymentor + Pepper#1414"(example). When they recognize Tea and advance to the White Tea role, you will earn XP!
