The **2022 UK Championship** (officially the **2022 Cazoo UK Championship**) was a professional [snooker](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snooker) tournament that took place from 12 to 20 November 2022 at the [York Barbican](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/York_Barbican) in [York](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/York), England. The fifth [ranking](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snooker_world_rankings) event and first [Triple Crown](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_Crown_\(snooker\)) event of the [2022–23 snooker season](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022%E2%80%9323_snooker_season), the tournament was the 46th edition of the [UK Championship](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_Championship), which was first held in 1977. Organised by the [World Snooker Tour](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Snooker_Tour) and sponsored by car retail company [Cazoo](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cazoo), the event was broadcast domestically by the [BBC](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC) and [Eurosport](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurosport). The winner received £250,000 from a total prize fund of £1,205,000.
