A few comments since this is my first post:

* I wanted to play around with some Web3 stuff to better understand it…this is my first foray aside from creating a crypto wallet, watching crypto prices on BBG, and setting up a profile on [Warpcast](https://warpcast.com/t0talreturn) …astute readers might notice I’m following some well known VCs in trying some of these tools.

* I realize there is a cost to posting based on my understanding of [Arweave](https://arweave.org/), [Mirror](https://mirror.xyz/), and basic economics.

* With points above under consideration, I thought about what’s worthwhile to post on a blockchain aside from writing out some of my thoughts and expectations around tech, finance, geopolitics, markets, economics, etc. in long form (may or may not happen in the future)

* I love food and cooking is always on my mind, so I came up with this genius idea…what if I (hopefully) post the first ever meatloaf recipe on a blockchain! Here you go world…

**Mise en Place**

Equipment:

*   Loaf pan

*   Cutting board

*   Chef’s knife

*   Small skillet

*   Medium bowl

* Wooden spoon if you don’t want to use your hands

Ingredients:

* ~1.5lb ground meat (beef, turkey, lamb, etc.)

*   EVOO

* 1/2 onion, chopped (white, red, yellow, etc.)

*   2 cloves garlic, minced

* 1/4 cup ketchup or BBQ sauce of choice

* A few dashes of Worcestershire sauce

* 1 teaspoon of seasoning (Italian seasoning is simple, easy, and always available, so this is my go-to)

* 1 teaspoon of kosher salt

* 1/2-3/4 cup of breadcrumbs (depending on preference)

*   1 egg

**Instructions**

*   Heat oven to 350F

* Heat olive oil on low/medium heat in skillet, cook onion until translucent, but I personally like to caramelize a bit

* Add garlic for 30 seconds and cook until fragrant then cool the mixture

* In medium bowl mix together cooled onion/garlic mixture with all other ingredients

* Put mix in loaf pan or form into loaf on banking sheet

* Brush additional ketchup/BBQ sauce on top of loaf

* Bake ~50-60 minutes until cooked (time varies depending on meat)…check Google, but for ground turkey/chicken I shoot for 165F

* Remove from oven and cool for a few minutes otherwise you’ll burn your mouth and be pissed (learn from my mistakes)

Other Notes:

* I call it “Mystery Meatloaf” because I mix and match ingredients based on what I have in my fridge, but recipe above is my go-to mix, if you will

* Have fun and get creative with mixing and matching

* If you learned something or tried this recipe, like this post, share it, let me know what you think!

*   _I still don’t quite know what I’m doing here on mirror_ :) \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*
