Taiko Community Update #3 has arrived 🥁

We do these to provide transparency into the progress we’ve made since our [last community update](https://mirror.xyz/labs.taiko.eth/JdMMaBLOtK3Hk_SGZy_c9WFEnn1jDtOpfeXVHxJAtMU). These updates represent our most recent two-week work iteration.

Team wide ✨
===========

*   Added the MIT License to [taiko-mono](https://github.com/taikoxyz/taiko-mono).
    
*   Posted a blog entry: [Taiko is fully open source](https://mirror.xyz/labs.taiko.eth/31vzkwgNaKNrze0oIv_wTKCw6Tha8OYQ6ffrquS3XUg).
    
*   Updated the Taiko website at [taiko.xyz](https://taiko.xyz/).
    
*   Added [protocol contract documentation](https://taiko.xyz/docs/category/smart-contracts) to the website.

*   Minted [2022 Taiko Contributor (Founding Year) GitPOAPs](https://www.gitpoap.io/gp/686).
    

ZK-EVM 🔬
=========

*   Added tests for math gadgets.
    
*   Adding support for skipping over invalid transactions in the circuits.
    
*   Reviewing and refactoring the Merkle Patricia Tree circuit.
    
*   Investigating alternative proving systems.
    

Protocol 🧑‍🔬
==============

*   Simplified the protocol contract documentation.
    
*   Various small improvements and optimizations.
    

Node 🌐
=======

*   Enable p2p blocks fast synchronization among L2 nodes.
    
*   Added the ability to enable prover allowlisting for the testnet.
    

Bridge 🌉
=========

*   Worked on the bridge deployment.
    
*   Connecting the bridge UI with the relayer.
    
*   Improved bridge UI, including mobile responsiveness.
