The pitched up vocals add a sense of child-like nostalgia, with tight drums and all sorts of ear candy throughout. The crispy drum production mixed with a soulful sample chop and some light synthesis is instantly captivating, reminiscent of early Kanye production. Nessy does not miss with the lyrical content, really bleeding on this track with some awesome storytelling. We will be keeping an eye on everything coming from Nessy in the future. Nesquik (Produced by Erik the Producer) Nessy the Rilla Collect SUGARFISH by Reo CragunFrom the immediate saturated 808s to the catchy vocals, this is a gahtdamn bop. A trap style beat with a soulful twist brings a minimal audio palette that allows Reo to flex the vocal chops on top. This is the type of joint you put on in the car on a late night drive.... plus its a free mint SUGARFISH Reo Cragun Collect Knots by Cale HawkinsThis tasty minute and a half of music goes deeper than many can go in a full album. From the evolving production to the relatable lyrics about obstacles and our limitations of our human nature, this is a gem of a Music NFT. The instrumentation is tasteful yet detailed and the key change at the one minute mark pushes us into new state of emotions. Plus we always love a good wurlitzer. Knots Cale Hawkins Collect July 2 by Gabriel LagoThis experimental synthesis piece is instantly engaging and fun. With feelings that take us back to a speeded-out, hidef, nintendo soundtrack, there is a lot to listen for in here. Sequenced synthesizers blipping and bleeping in comforting harmonic areas makes the piece quite playful. Definitely worth a listen for more of the exploratory listeners, alongside the other pieces released in July from Gabriel July 2 Gabriel Lago Collect DEE BAG [GOODIE BAG VOL.2] by AlyThis is a gorgeous piece of work that takes the listener on a journey from top to bottom, opening with some intimate acoustic piano that makes its way to touching vocals delivered in a beautiful melodic passage. There are multiple beat switches that turn from a much more aggressive direction, featuring a slappy and dirty drum loop behind overdriven vocals. Switching up again to a more soulful break with rhythmically complex vocal lines on top and reverberating vocals reminding us of Tame Impala in a new setting. The contrast between sections is huge, but the flow makes total sense. This is a production masterclass in one track.
