### **Summary**

This week’s hexagram is called “Difficulty at the Beginning”. The I Ching described this situation visually: a blade of grass pushing up against something that is in the way. This situation is not one that will last forever, but it must be seen for what it is. If progress feels slow this week, do not be too hard on yourself.

The same situation that contains difficulty at the start also implies progress later on. Things are rearranging themselves at the moment before falling into a new, stable pattern toward the end of the Western calendar year.

The first and third lines, like last week, are in change. This give us hexagram 39 as an echo, which is emphasising the sense of obstruction and “stuckness”.
