### **Summary**

This week’s hexagram is a small paradox. The hexagram represents slow, gradual progress; yet half of its lines are in change, the most I have cast in months. It is a slow process, but that fact is changing fast. Perhaps this is a good metaphor for the seasons, a strange mixture of different kinds of change happening at different rates.

What greets us on the other side of this change for the week is a symbol of nourishment and civilisation. Do not rush, anything done in a hurried frame of mind will not have a lasting effect. Focus instead on the details and persevere even if things feel slow. In that way, progress is assured that way.

### **Closing remarks**

The hexagram has its 2nd, 4th, 5th lines in change, giving us _Ting,_ hexagram 50, as an echo. September is here, and with it a change of season. Tomorrow is a new moon.
