# Advocate labor and pay tribute to workers!

On the eve of the May Day International Labor Day, the Qinghai Federation of trade unions awarded 10 units including Shengyuan carpet Group Co., Ltd. “Qinghai may day labor Award”, 20 individuals including Qi Qinfang “Qinghai May Day Labor Medal”, and 40 collective Qinghai Plateau “worker pioneer” such as the alkali solution workshop of Qinghai Bohong Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.

Although these commended advanced collectives and individuals come from different industries and positions, they are elites and experts in tackling key technical problems in all walks of life. They are ordinary and great because they are doing the most ordinary work. Greatness is always practicing the “craftsman spirit”. With a valuable sense of responsibility and honor, they have made an extraordinary career with sincerity in ordinary posts.

Pay tribute to the workers. It is they who create value with their hands, shoulder their responsibilities with their shoulders and irrigate the future with sweat. This year is a key year for the implementation of the 14th five year plan and an important year for promoting the modernization of Qinghai. Building an ecological civilization highland on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, building “four places” and comprehensively promoting rural revitalization rely on tens of thousands of workers; Comprehensively deepening reform and opening up and implementing the innovation driven development strategy are inseparable from builders in all walks of life. To create a bright future for Qinghai, we must give full play to the role of the working class and the majority of working people as the main force, and rely on labor, honest labor and creative labor in order to create new brilliance on the new journey.

Glory belongs to workers, and happiness belongs to workers. The working class is China’s leading class, the representative of advanced productive forces and production relations, and the main force for upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics. Whether in the era of revolutionary war, the period of socialist construction or the period of reform and opening up, countless workers worked hard, made contributions and overcome difficulties, promoted China’s economic and social development and created remarkable achievements. In the new era, we should carry forward the great character of the Chinese working class and the working people, give full play to the spiritual leading role of labor models and advanced workers, strengthen publicity, create a good atmosphere of advocating labor in the whole society, establish the value orientation of the most glorious, noble, great and beautiful labor, and encourage the majority of workers to stick to their posts and make contributions. Working wholeheartedly for the interests of the working class and the working masses is the fundamental requirement of China’s socialist system, the sacred duty of the party and the state, and the most important and basic work to give full play to the role of the working class and the main force of the working masses. We should fully mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of the broad masses of workers, effectively realize, safeguard and develop the legitimate rights and interests of workers, provide a broader stage for the broad masses of workers, give play to the important role of labor models and advanced workers, and gather the majestic force to write the chapter of Qinghai in building a modern socialist country in an all-round way.
