Day 13 of Ramadhan, the sacred month that teaches us about patience, sacrifice, and sincerity. Beneath the morning sky that faithfully greets with its brightness, free from any dark clouds, Sang Phoenix awakens with an unquenchable spirit. Like the legendary bird reborn from its ashes, he feels that every day is a fresh opportunity to soar higher, leaving traces of goodness on this transient earth. The road to "Taman Syurga"—as he calls his school—is somewhat busy, yet free from traffic jams that obstruct. Every kilometer traveled becomes a contemplation: life is like a journey, full of obstacles, but with true intention, everything flows like a river finding its estuary.

Upon arriving at Taman Syurga, Sang Phoenix steps into the classroom with a heart full of hope. The children of the nation, the next generation whom he regards as young shoots ready to bloom, are already prepared with shining eyes. Today, they face the daily assessment—not merely a test of paper and pen, but a mirror reflecting how far the seeds of knowledge he has sown have grown. "Remember, children," he says with a gentle yet firm voice, "knowledge is not a burden, but wings that will carry you to fly. This assessment is a bridge to measure the strength of those wings, so you do not fall when strong winds come." They nod, and the room fills with focused silence, where every answer is a step toward a brighter future. Here, Sang Phoenix sees the philosophy of education: not merely filling heads with facts, but shaping resilient souls—like a tree with deep roots, wide branches, and sweet fruit for all.

But in the midst of the learning flow that runs like a river, the digital screen suddenly rings, breaking the silence. A call for the final exam committee meeting—a gathering that is not mere routine, but a crucial milestone for the graduation of the nation's children. The final exam is the gateway to the outer world, where their dreams will be tested by reality. Sang Phoenix immediately rises, but not without leaving a message to his students: "Work with honesty, children. Honesty is the foundation of life; without it, any structure will collapse. I trust you, just as I trust the sun that always rises." He leaves the classroom with a heavy heart, yet confident that the trust will be upheld. The meeting lasts long, filled with deep discussions about perfect preparation. Every detail is examined: from fair questions to flawless logistics. The tasks assigned to him as a committee member, he completes swiftly, for he knows that behind every exam paper lies the fate of a child depending on it. The philosophy here is clear: preparation is a form of love, and negligence is a betrayal of the future.

The meeting has not fully ended when another call arrives: a follow-up meeting on the streaming (major selection) of the nation's children. This is not just choosing paths, but a profound philosophical step—an acknowledgment that every human is unique, like leaves on the same tree, yet different in shape and color. Streaming is the way to align their interests, talents, abilities, and aspirations. "Imagine," says Sang Phoenix in the meeting, "if we force a bird to swim or a fish to fly, the world would lose its beauty. Let us help them find the right current of water or wind." The discussion is intense yet meaningful, for behind every decision lies a dream that must be protected from wilting before it blooms.

The school bell finally rings, marking the end of a tiring yet fulfilling school day. The day turns to afternoon, the sun inclines westward as a reminder that time is a loan that must be utilized. Sang Phoenix flies back toward his nest, the simple home that is his fortress of happiness. Upon arrival, he sees his wife sitting on the floor, folding clothes with gentle, loving hands. Without hesitation, he hurries to help, for to him, marriage is cooperation, not a burden on one side. While folding, he becomes a faithful listener as his wife shares her daily life: simple household routines, yet full of struggle. "You know, dear," she says with a smile, "every fold is like the folds of our life—sometimes tangled, but with patience, everything becomes neat." The story touches the heart, reminding that true love is listening, not just speaking. In this month of Ramadhan, moments like this are fasting from ego, and breaking the fast with togetherness.

Not long after, the digital screen rings again, shattering the peace. A call from Mother, a voice that always carries childhood memories. Mother asks to be delivered food, as she did not cook today due to illness. Sang Phoenix's heart is moved; Mother is the root of his life, an irreplaceable source of strength. But there is a dilemma: the day is approaching Maghrib, the time when he and his wife usually deliver provisions to the children studying at the Qur'an education institution. Two noble duties: honoring Mother and supporting the children's religious education. This is a philosophical test of Ramadhan—choosing priorities amid time constraints. After discussing with his wife, he decides: deliver food to Mother first, because devotion to parents is the door to paradise. "If I'm not back by Maghrib, you deliver to the children, dear," he says. His wife nods, their eyes meeting in silent understanding: marriage is a team, not a competition.

The Phoenix rides his motorcycle at moderate speed, piercing through roads that are starting to congest at several points. Every wasted second is a reminder that time is a trust from the Almighty. His hope is simple: to also deliver food to the children, because their smiles upon seeing their father arrive are an invaluable gift. Those children are not mere students, but a trust for the future of the ummah—they who will carry the light of the Qur'an to the next generations. Amid the traffic jam, he reflects: life is full of trials, like fasting that tests hunger and thirst, yet it is precisely there that strength is born. Patience is the key, and sincerity is the remedy.

Upon arriving at Mother's house, he greets with a warm voice, enters, greets her, and kisses her wrinkled yet blessed hand. "This is food from your wife, Mother," he says while handing over the package. Mother smiles weakly, her eyes shining despite her weary body. The brief conversation is full of meaning: Mother speaks of her illness, but more about her prayers for her children and grandchildren. "Go, Son. Don't let the children wait," Mother says, giving permission. Those words touch the soul deeply—Mother is the exemplar of sacrifice, always giving without expecting return.

The Phoenix immediately heads home, his heart light despite his tired body. At home, his wife has already prepared provisions for the children, complete with loving prayers. He sets off again toward the Qur'an institution. Alhamdulillah, everything runs on time, like the perfect divine plan. When handing over the food, the children's smiles greet him: "Thank you, Father!" It is a touching moment, a reminder that small kindnesses can become great waves. Today, at the close of Ramadhan's 13th day, Sang Phoenix learns again: life is balance between worldly duties and the hereafter, between family and society. Like the phoenix that rises, every challenge is a purifying fire, and every goodness is wings drawing closer to paradise. Alhamdulillah, all praise belongs to Allah.
