Our community is proud to support the Freedom & Justice Summit happening November 6–9 at The Grand Theater in Ellsworth, Maine, hosted by Artivism in Maine. One of our own — Hurricane — will perform an original song titled “Freedom”. This isn’t just another festival. It’s a movement grounded in community, art, and shared truth — bringing world-class creativity to small-town Maine, and proving that meaningful cultural change doesn’t only happen in big cities. It happens wherever people gather with purpose. The Freedom & Justice Summit features:Lady Brion — Maryland’s Poet Laureate and the #1 ranked woman slam poet in the world.Hurric4n3 — performing an original “Freedom” anthem. Many beloved Maine artists — across workshops, performances, and discussions.Event Schedule Thursday, November 6 (FREE) 📍 The Grand Theater — 5:00 PM – “The Prelude” Documentary Friday, November 7 📍 Conscious Café — 3:00–5:00 PM – Kickoff Party (FREE) 📍 The Grand Theater — 7:00 PM – “Our Youth, Our Future” (Ticketed) Saturday, November 8 📍 Conscious Café — 9:00–11:00 AM – Ayurveda Workshop (FREE) 📍 Steamy Buddha Yoga — 11:30–12:30 PM – Ecstatic Dance (FREE) 📍 The Grand Theater — 12:00–1:00 PM – Stories of Incarceration (FREE) 📍 The Grand Theater — 7:00 PM – “Our Past, Our Present” (Ticketed) Sunday, November 9 (FREE) 11:00–12:30 PM – Sound Bath 12:30–2:00 PM – Art & Sovereignty Workshop How to Get Involved The Friday evening event — “What’s YOUR Art Got to Do With It?” — centers youth voices.
