# Year of the ZAO – Day 361 > Loosening the Grip Without Losing the Thread **Published by:** [The ZAO Newsletter](https://paragraph.com/@thezao/) **Published on:** 2025-12-27 **URL:** https://paragraph.com/@thezao/year-of-the-zao-day-361 ## Content ZM gm. Today feels quieter in the ZAO world in a good way. Less broadcast, more breathing room. Projects are still moving, conversations still humming, but the energy is reflective — like the system doing a soft recalibration instead of a hard push. I’ve been spending time with The Five Levels of Attachment, and it’s been sneaky in the best way. Not calling attachments “bad,” not asking for detachment cosplay — just inviting a shift in perspective. Seeing where I’m gripping too tightly. Where identity sneaks in and says, “This has to work,” instead of, “Let’s see what happens.” That distinction matters more than I realized. Creativity flows cleaner when attachment loosens just enough to let curiosity back in. Notice one attachment today — and gently loosen it by a notch. – BetterCallZaal on behalf of the ZAO Team ## Publication Information - [The ZAO Newsletter](https://paragraph.com/@thezao/): Publication homepage - [All Posts](https://paragraph.com/@thezao/): More posts from this publication - [RSS Feed](https://api.paragraph.com/blogs/rss/@thezao): Subscribe to updates - [Twitter](https://twitter.com/https://twitter.com/bettercallzaal): Follow on Twitter - [Farcaster](https://farcaster.xyz/zaal): Follow on Farcaster
