# Web-3 is America 2.0

**Web-3 As Freedom and Liberty**

     Will we see an American revolution, but digitally take place? Just as America represents an egalitarian turn in history, without any hierarchy embedded from the British monarchy, Web-3 represents liberation from centralized entities dictating what can and can’t be said in the digital world.And If we take that model, we see the growth and expansion of the free market and certain projects(digital countries,states)that welcome builders from all over the world to contribute building their place in the digital world, provided you make the effort to speak and write code. And, just as wars in the real world are made over oil, we can already foresee future digital wars over digital petroleum/data.

**The-End-Of-The-Middle-Man**     

     Independent of any single authority, corporation, or country charging and maintaining internet connections, I.P addresses, monetary transactions, many digital activities will become peer to peer transactions. All of the old intermediaries will be gone. And the profits will more equally distributed.

**Digitally-On-Your-Own**

     But, we will soon realize they inhibited more than just bigger profits. All of the formality of Big Tech gave us a proper behavior of conduct when interacting in the internet. They saved our passwords, pictures, and accounts at no cost to us. All those terms of agreements that no one reads, but agrees with a quick amen to get begin using the app simply said they were going to sell the digital oil to pay for their bills. Over bearing and annoying for many of us. But, it provided a structure for content.      How would this new world have an impact on us? I can think of what happen when America came onto the seen with its liberal values. Super individualized, no one will save, and no family to recover your losses from back home. Sure, it is the place to make great amounts of money, but it is a place to go morally bankrupt, or as many Middle Eastern countries call us, “The Great Satan”. Will this be Web-3? Will porn just take over the space through all the AI being used today, and will a few big Web-3 players reap all the profits. Since, there is no government to stop monopolies, and general code of ethics that inhibits morally bankrupt activities?

**Conclusion**      Will Web-3 phenomena be an extension of American, Western values? From what I can see, it is just an extension of it digitally. America has managed to morph itself into the digital world without many seeing for what it is. Since, great monetary profits for whoever is willing to put in effort regardless of what country you are from, is an American model that many people across the world give their lives for and seek by immigrating to America. But, at what cost? It seems it is at the cost of turning morally bankrupt. And, this might be what we see in the Web-3 space, which will have less of a say on how we ought to behave in the internet.
