# Web3

*   Not all web 3 application require payments(e.g. poap.xyz), especially with more cheaper L2 chains coming, it is more like a on-chain immutable proofs and data reusability.
    
*   If we make everything free of charge, who should pay all the awesome open source developers, how can they make a living? Micro-payments is at least one of the possible solutions.
    
*   I do admit lack of tools in current state of web3 world and it becomes money grabbing for some people
    
*   Inefficient distribution of fiat system might be the reason for someone can't afford to access web3. I think paying a little bit still better than being a product of all the adds company.
    
*   Also, without developers’ buy-in, web 3 WILL be nothing
