Adherents of Vitriol walk in shadow, talk in code, shield their faces and obscure their names. They believe that being concealed is the only way to know the truth. While the other Orders tend to focus on the many magical items in the world - or each other - the organs and apparatus of the Order of Vitriol are directed at the world itself. A trained adherent of Vitriol will use any means, magical or mundane, to boil the mysteries of the universe down into parts small enough to be studied. The secrets that the Order extracts from the world are carefully recorded and stashed away in Secret Archives, ostensibly to stop them becoming useful to the other Orders, but mostly to appease the lust for secrecy itself.
