I work in the IT field, I have extensive experience in the development of network applications and systems, as well as extensive experience with Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing. Having said that, I can't help but feel that I must have missed the bus for this particular contest. I only just glanced at the basic information and as soon as that window was closed I went to another site and as I said, so very briefly glanced at the requirements, so my biggest problem is that I am not sure that I qualify. That's not to say that I would not qualify, if my efforts were directed towards the right goal. If I had enough time, and a bit more luck, I could probably qualify. Being selected to go on the presidential selection list and then actually being selected is a long, long shot. It's got to be my fifth or sixth try. If I'm lucky. I wouldn't even be eligible until at least next year. Most of the eligible candidates were hoping that there would be a good turn out.
