Where everything became so small-minded in the eyes of others  
They played a tape and I was now in tune with what I watched  
Taken aback by an idea sold so well I don’t think  
I want to go back

Now my feelings align with the tape

And I thought to myself if I did have the remote  
Would I eject? Well they played a tape and now my kids get to watch  
What I still don’t properly understand but  
They played a tape and we all stayed to watch
