**Abstract:** The Keeper's question ignites a civil war of ideals. A proposal for an efficient "Community Committee" summons the ghost of centralization.

Cheering is the instinct of a crowd. Questioning is the sign of an awakened, independent soul.

The Keeper's quiet question, "shouldn't we have voted on it first?" acted like a drop of cold water on hot oil, instantly igniting the underlying conflict beneath the cheers. The will of every common member, previously suppressed by the reputation of the "core contributors," began to collectively reawaken.

"She's right," one message read. "Doesn't the charter say major decisions require a community vote?"

"The plan is great, but the process feels wrong. It feels like we were just 'informed'," another added.

The voices of doubt grew louder, and the atmosphere began to turn delicate. The "Uncrowned Kings," who were just moments ago basking in the joy of the project launch, felt the pressure from the community for the first time. In their private "Core Contributors" group, the mood was heavy.

"We worked so hard on this plan for days, all for the good of everyone. Why are some people still hung up on 'procedure'?" one hero asked with a hint of grievance. "What kind of result can we get from chaotic discussion in the main channel?"

"I understand their concerns," another, more strategic hero responded. "This just proves our governance model has a problem. It's too inefficient! If every single thing requires a vote from everyone, we can't move any project forward. I think we should take this opportunity to solve this fundamental issue."

He then typed a message in the group: "I believe we should formally propose to the community to establish an elected 'Titan Community Committee.' The committee would consist of 5-7 core contributors, responsible for the execution of daily projects and preliminary approval of funds, to improve efficiency. Major affairs would then be submitted for a community-wide vote. This is both efficient and in line with the spirit of decentralization."

"The Titan Community Committee"—the phrase echoed in the core group like an ancient and alluring incantation. It promised efficiency, it promised order, it promised to guide the chaotic power of the community onto the "right" track. It sounded so reasonable, so necessary.

However, they did not realize that behind this proposal lay the ghost of an ancient creature. In the morphology of organizations, there is a creature known as the "spider." It possesses a powerful central brain; all decisions are issued from the center, and all information flows to it. Its advantage is efficiency. Its weakness is fatal: once the head is destroyed, the entire web collapses instantly. The pantheon of the Old Gods was a typical "spider." Its head—the algorithm—was destroyed, and the entire organization died with it.

What the survivors had built upon the ruins was meant to be a new form of life entirely.

The hero formally posted the polished "Proposal for Establishing a Titan Community Committee to Improve Governance Efficiency" to the main community channel, sparking an unprecedentedly fierce debate. Supporters argued that "A DAO can't be anarchism. We need a professional team to do professional work!" while opponents questioned: "This is a step backward! We just barely escaped the centralized 'Old Gods,' and now we're going to elect new 'gods' ourselves?"

Just as the two sides were at a stalemate, The Prophet, who had been silent for a long time, finally spoke. He neither directly opposed nor supported the proposal. He simply, where everyone could see, slowly typed out a line of text:

"I support any attempt that makes the community better. Regarding the committee, I have only one question for everyone:"

"If, one day in the future, this committee that we elected with our own hands makes a decision against the will of the community for its own benefit... at that time, how shall we check its power?"

This question, like a heavy hammer, struck at the very heart of the debate. The entire community fell silent. Both supporters and opponents were lost in deep thought. No one knew the answer, for it touched upon the core dilemma of all human organizations: efficiency versus fairness, elitism versus democracy, power versus checks and balances.

The ghost of the spider had descended. And a civil war for the soul of Titan was now inevitable.

**In "The Dao of Titan" 2-2 \[The Spider's Ghost\], who is more naive?**

The heroes who embrace the ghost of centralization for the sake of efficiency, or the believers who cling to the chaos of decentralization for the sake of ideals?
